New Policy to Address EHR Demands

A recent study of physician EHR documentation shows physicians are spending less time with patients than anticipated.

Researchers analyzed EHR data and found that, on average, physicians spend half their clinical time on EHR documentation, much more than previously thought.

Policymakers and physicians have voiced their concerns regarding less face-to-face interactions between patients and physicians, however, evidence shows that majority of patients don’t mind the less hands-on approach.

With upcoming federal regulations being discussed, will physician concerns about EHR demands be put at ease?
