Patients Aren’t the Only Ones Turning to Dr. Google

That's right - a recent survey found that nearly half of medical and premedical students look to Google first for answers when researching medical topics, while only 7% turn to a print textbook.

Of the 180 students surveyed, 83% said that confirming a source's credibility was one of the main challenges when searching for medical information online, something that was not an issue years ago when the only resources students had access to were physician-authored textbooks and medical libraries. Now, with the power of the internet, there's a vast amount of information readily available at students' fingertips with the click of a mouse.
