Social media provides an effective and efficient way to educate and inform patients and other physicians. As the massive amount of information that a physician must learn, understand and apply grows, it is essential to use social media effectively. Today, physicians are practically expected to adopt social media to exchange information and medical knowledge using the various channels such as Twitter, Facebook, and personal blogging sites.
